Edward Lane McCartney

Edward Lane McCartney is a Houston-based artist, jeweler, and metalsmith. His artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in numerous private, public, and museum collections. McCartney served as Board President of the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) from 2015-2017, where he was a former participant in the Artist in Residence Program in 2005; he was recognized as Guest of Honor at HCCC’s Artist Residency Dinner 2025. In April 2026, he will be HCCC’s Guest Speaker at the Crafting a Legacy Spring Luncheon. McCartney previously served as a jewelry instructor at the Glassell School of Art (Museum of Fine Arts Houston), where he has studied since 1999. In 2025, McCartney’s work was featured in a solo exhibition, "Restoration", at the Beeville Art Museum (Beeville, TX).
